The Harmonist

The Harmonist brand, which proclaims that beauty is in harmony. The owner of the brand, Lola Kerimova-Tillyaeva, suggests searching for perfume harmony with the help of Feng Shui. There are 11 fragrances dedicated to the elements of fire, water, wood, earth and metal. Five of them appeal to the light beginning - Yang (white bottles), five to the dark - Yin (black bottles) and one in a blue bottle tells about the transformation of Yin into Yang. Find out which element is closer to you, and - voila! The ideal perfume has been found. Maybe it will work for someone, but nothing worked for me. The transformation was especially difficult. Therefore, I will continue to search for perfume the old-fashioned way with the help of my nose and blotters.

The system gave me something from the white series, but I chose Yin and fresh rose on a caustic patchouli base The Harmonist Metal Flower. There have been many of these released recently, but still not enough. In my opinion, all perfume shelves should be filled with roses!

In Metal Flower, there is a lonely scarlet rose in a wild garden among old snags, currant thickets and persistent green nettles. The rose still reigns in the flowerbed, but through its strawberry-pink fragrance, a powerful currant spirit and a burning sweet and sour aroma of lychee break through.

Guillaume Flavigny

Rose oxide, aldehydes, orange blossom, May rose, Bulgarian rose, ylang ylang, patchouli, white musk.

Running past The Harmonist stand for the first time, I noticed the fragrances in black bottles, and especially Royal Earth. Royal Earth is a thick, rich, black nurse earth, permeated with whitish roots of iris and angelica, which draw life juices from it.

If there is a transformation in this collection, it is in Royal Earth, in which the iris-earthy-woody darkness miraculously does not thicken even more towards the end, but on the contrary dissipates, filled with wind, June sky, freshness of neroli, iris and sweet pollen of meadow flowers.

The Harmonist Royal Earth

Guillaume Flavigny

Carrot seeds, angelica, ambrette, neroli, iris, heliotrope, tonka beans, sandalwood, vetiver.

The next black is The Harmonist Magnetic Wood. Spring madness, where the smells of melt water mix with ammonia-anise drops for colds, and the yellow March aroma of fluffy mimosa argues with the pollen spirit of narcissus hearts. Nature awakens after a long winter.

The Harmonist Magnetic Wood

Guillaume Flavigny

Green mandarin, bergamot, osmanthus, mimosa, narcissus, iris, cedar, sandalwood, guaiac.

The Harmonist Hypnotizing Fire is a red-hot fire-breathing oven in which a spicy Christmas cake made according to an old recipe with almonds and white raisins ripens, ferments, bakes and slightly burns on top. And when it is taken out, sprinkled with powdered sugar and put to ripen, the hostess will quickly bake some more waffles with boiled condensed milk for tea.

The Harmonist Hypnotizing Fire

Guillaume Flavigny

Pink pepper, pimento, cloves, Bulgarian rose, patchouli, praline, vanilla, benzoin, opoponax.

And the last one in a black bottle is The Harmonist Guiding Water. Icy transparent dew on the glass and aluminum frames of the greenhouse, water-hungry bulbous flowers with thick white petals, cucumbers and violets. Recognizable and so understandable freshness from the 90s.

The Harmonist Guiding Water

Guillaume Flavigny

Watermelon, aquatic notes, ozone accord, lotus, jasmine, cyclamen, lily, pink pepper, white musk.
