Gabrielle Chanel

I waited a couple of years before writing about Chanel Gabrielle. I wanted to see how the market would greet it, how people would react to such a powerful statement - the first in a long time that is not a flanker. It would be better if it were a flanker, because Gabrielle will not become a fragrance of a generation, like Chanel 19, Coco, Allure or Coco Mademoiselle. Just like Coco Noire - an important launch of the last decade - did not become one. Its place in girls' hearts was taken by Chance eau Fraiche and Chance eau Tendre.

Gabrielle Chanel

What's wrong with Gabrielle? It's all right. A subtle, very feminine scent of white flowers, powder and expensive cream, warming up, mixing with the aroma of smooth, well-groomed skin and the warmth of the body with all its hollows and troughs.

Gabrielle opens with the freshness of morning white gardenias and tuberoses in the dew, showered with orange blossom petals. They are followed by a drunken fruity aroma, champagne bubbles and the smell of hairspray - an implicit quote from J`Adore Dior. Then both the fruity and floral spirits dissolve in a snow-white creamy emulsion, which will be carefully anointed for you in the SPA-salon of an expensive hotel located in an ideal climate. Complete relaxation, peace and beauty. Something that very rich and very idle people can afford.

For some reason, it is believed that we all want to be in their place. But is that true? At some point of special exhaustion and fatigue - yes. The rest of the time, I personally don't mind being myself and not pretending to be someone else.

Maybe that's the point? The Gabrielle fragrance embodies a chic idle life that is gradually going out of fashion.
