Collection Les Extravagants Les Parfums de Rosine

One of the oldest perfume brands, Les Parfums de Rosine by the famous couturier of the early 20th century Paul Poiret, was revived almost a hundred years later and is releasing perfumes again. The name is Rosine, Poiret's daughter, who is now forgotten, and the main theme of the fragrances is roses. The theme is inexhaustible, because roses never go out of fashion, and they can be cooked with any sauce. The freshest collection of 2019, Les Extravagants, in bright bottles is quite good.

In the raspberry bottle — Bois Fuchsia. The color of the bottle very accurately matches the contents. Here are rose and peony petals in bloody wine, smooth polished wood of dark tones, a whole basin of large ripe raspberries, thick, bitter blackcurrant jam with pepper and an alarming haze. Perfume for a demonic woman, no less.

In the yellow sunny bottle there is no less of a bully than in the raspberry one. Vanille Paradoxe Les Parfums de Rosine is a festival of spices: fierce, mad cloves, undiluted Hendrick`s gin and orange jelly on thin Borodinsky toast. I think this is what the ties and handkerchiefs of fragile Victorian dandies might smell like.

Green Eloge du Vert Les Parfums de Rosine — summer holidays at the dacha. The shade on the veranda, the freshness of watered flowerbeds and vegetable beds, a salad of tart greens and black violets, seasoned with lemon juice and ginger. Unusual, not boring and good. True, I would paint the bottle purple.
