Another hooligan name from Tom Ford. In fact, Bitter Peach is the scent of a teenage party, when you want alcohol and all sorts of liberties, but parents are vigilant and regularly check whether someone has added something stronger to the punch. And so the main dish and event becomes the flambé ice cream cake.
The guests greet the blazing blue flame ice cream with pieces of peach and guava, generously poured with bitter orange liqueur, with a friendly squeal and the clink of spoons. Sticky lips, blurred photos. The party was a success.
Tom Ford was one of the first to notice that a new audience had grown up and needed to be entertained. He lured us into a new world with sharp scents of tropical fruits (a trend), complex spicy alcohol (another trend) and his signature magical ice cream, which turns any dessert into high perfumery.
Somewhere in the depths of Bitter Peach I can still smell chocolate, burnt sugar and patchouli from the legendary first gourmand fragrance Angel Mugler. Literally a drop, adding meaning to Bitter Peach.
Yes, it is a bit harsh at the start. Guava, papaya and other tropical fruits do not grow here, they are practically never found fresh and are more familiar from shower gels. But the foamy bitterness quickly recedes, and a sweet youthful aroma remains.
